We left the island on a clear, but cold winter day heading west for Santa Fe. Our first trip with a camper is underway. Spent a night at a friend's house in Norwalk, CT, followed by a night in a motel in Virginia before we camped for the first time at a state park in Tennessee. We were in snow all the way to Arkansas. Camped again in Oklahoma City at an RV park yards for I 40. The camper seems like a palatial estate after sleeping in a biker's tent on the previous two trips. We have a kitchen and living area "downstairs" and a queen size bed "upstairs"! We have to pinch ourselves to believe such comfort is real.
It was along slog of driving 10 hour days to get to Santa Fe; but the constantly changing landscape kept it interesting.
| We arrived at Anne's Aunt Nancy's spectacular home in Santa Fe feeling as though our trip is now actually underway. We will spend a few days here. |

Beautiful pictures! Looks like you are off to a great start.
